"Another" Jewish Matchmaking Success Story .... My main reason for writing to you is to tell you about "another" Jewish Matchmaking success story. I was married yesterday to a Jewish man whom I met for the first time one year ago yesterday. I thank you and all of the wonderful people at Jewish Matchmaking for making this marriage happen. It's been a long road, but a happy one.

I'm Engaged... .... This is a letter I have been wanting to write for some time. Almost a year has passed since I joined Jewish Matchmaking, and it was perhaps the most important decision of my life. So many positive events have been made possible by your organization! At present I am engaged to be married in June to Rhonda, a very attractive young lady, that I have been most fortunate to meet in person because of your firm. Most importantly, though, I now have Rhonda, my future wife to be. I went through the dating process as many members do, but actually decided quite early on that Rhonda was the woman I really wanted to be with.
Our first telephone conversation was mostly composed of giggles by Rhonda, so it was a very interesting experience. It did not take long to decide that I wanted to be serious.
I had lots of dates and in January found Rhonda to really exceed all my expectations! Her family and all the people I met were most hospitable, and I have had a fantastic time.
I asked Rhonda to marry me on my parents' wedding anniversary (Jan. 13) and she accepted! You are all invited to the wedding, as you have made it possible!!! Thanks for everything!

It Isn't Easy... .... In short, after dating for several months, Max asked me to marry him. I met his family and friends and, of course, became acquainted with his children. We quickly found out that our interests, i.e., photography, travel, music, good food, etc., were virtually the same. On August 7, we were married in Maryland and are now in the process of getting settled in our new residence. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your services and for your continued interest. It isn't easy in this day and age to meet that special one [but, I did it]!

I met my wife through Jewish Matchmaking... I started courting in September and we were married one year later.
My experience with Jewish Matchmaking has been very good. I dated about 20 lovely women. There are many amusing stories to tell. Most of them have to do with meeting someone for the first time with all my nervousness.
An addition to my story is that my brother, who originally introduced me to Jewish Matchmaking, is now engaged and will be married to his Jewish Matchmaking bride in a few weeks.
Rifka and I have learned a lot in the past six months of living together. Essentially it takes a lot of patience to get to know someone. The struggles of learning to share requires a good sense of humor. But overall it has enriched both of our lives.

This year has passed so quickly. Leanne and I sit and wonder where the year has gone. I must say that I have learned very much about myself this last year. Leanne has taught me so much; she is very open-minded and truthful. I like that very much. One very important comment for your new members: some people have the impression that a Jewish Matchmaking service is the easy way to find a mate. I'm sorry, but they have a very big surprise coming. Not only is your mate a human being, we are all intelligent with feelings, wants and needs, but the bringing together of two people requires so much understanding. Very much hard work... on both parts. My answer to the narrow-minded people who think I was too lazy to find a wife and had to get one from an introduction service -- come to our house for a visit. As we dated, we fell in love. People fall in love in many different ways. This was ours. We have redecorated the entire house inside from the curtains to the wall coverings. I am really amazed at her talent. She has been wanting to work part time, but I try to tell her that her real calling is in custom fashion designs for women. Well, as you can see, I think very much of her and love her very, very much. Thanks to your counselors or else we never would have found each other. Keep up the good work.
